In this course, EDLD 5313 Week 3, I had to create a BHAG! BHAG stands for Big Hairy Audacious Goal... which is a pretty funny phrase to use in education, but I think of this cute little hairy monster to the left. Just think we teachers or educators have a BIG HAIRY AUDACIOUS GOAL!! Hahahaha!!
After watching Dr. Harapnuik's video on Outcome-based Education vs Competency-based Education I learned that our students receive a deeper understanding when they relate their learning to real-world situations and authentic learning. So as a math teacher to capture an outcome-based education I turned toward project based learning and for my measurement and data unit I have designed this PBL to make learning richer for my students. See my 3 column table below connecting it my innovation plan, flipped learning. I accomplished my 3 column table with the help of the below worksheets using questions to help quide Fink's Taxonomy of Significant Learning.
