Well, Well, Well! As I sit here wrapping up my second course, 5303 Applying Educational Technology Portfolio, for my master's degree in Digital Leading and Learning (DLL) I reflect on the growth that I've made throughout these five short weeks. Let me back track for a second to my first course, 5302 Concepts of Educational Technology, where I learned about Dr. Carol Dweck's profound knowledge of the growth mindset. This knowledge has set the stage for my thinking as I continue through the DLL program and the rest of my life for that matter. Basically, I need to remind myself that I am a work in progress and that I may not know how to do something right now but with the right mindset I CAN and WILL learn it Yet... The Power of Yet. I’m very excited to have started my electronic portfolio this year. About 6-months ago a position opened up in my district for a classroom technology designer and boy was I interested. Let me explain why I wanted this position – I need to take you back to the year 2015 when my colleagues and I wanted to implement a flipped classroom with our 6th grade math students. Our principal was on board with this idea and provided us with various professional development resources so we could figure out how to make this happen.
